Thinking about Memorial Day!

Well I was thinking about the reason behind celebrating Memorial Day after reading a friend of mine's facebook status....We love the fact that we get a 3 day weekend but do any of us remember the reason we get to have this time... or do we just have our parties and BBQ's and not stop to think oh this is a holiday for a reason....Memorial Day is a time to remember those who laid their lives down so that we can live the lives we do during the cival war and World War 1.... even though we do complain sometimes about how bad things are there are people who have it way worse in other countries and have no opportunities to do anything about it....we are free people! Some may say we're not go live in the Dominican Republic or Hati for a while see how they live and then tell me we aren't! So on Monday stop for a moment at your parties or whatever your doing to think about those people who died to make our lives better!!!

Going through the motions...

So far I've gotten inspiration for blogs from songs I hear....thats ok because music is something that influences everybody! So the song that has inspired my to write(type) this week is The Motions by Matthew West....

I relate very much to this song because up until recently I have just been going through the motions....going to church, reading the Bible, "Worshiping", doing what i thought I was supposed to but not doing anything for the right reasons or getting anything out of it....I was never fully satisfied with anything.....I got to a point where I realized I need something more because I wasn't going to be happy until I did..... like the song say's

I don't wanna go through the motions I don't wanna go one more day without your all consuming passion inside of me I don't wanna spend my whole life asking what if I had given everything instead of going through the motions....

I hope you dance.....

I was thinking about the song by Lee Ann Womack, I hope you dance because our worship pastor sung it yesterday at church..... it's such a beautiful song it has such a wonderful message in it.... Live your life with out fear of making mistakes because you are going to make them but it's okey we all do... Love with out fear of being hurt because even though hurt will come loving unconditionally is worth every moment of the hurt that may come. Don't live ever moment in fear of the trials ahead (the mountains in the distance) because you will tackle them when you get there. Have faith (believe in things you can't see) because faith is so important in life. Don't take life for granted, take chances and Love just love unconditionally. I HOPE YOU DANCE because life is too short to be in constant fear of things that might happen!!! 2 Timothy 1:7 is my favorite scripture in the Bible, it says God did not give you the spirit of fear but the spirit of power, love and a sound-mind. God is not a God of fear or confusion! here are the lyrics to the song!
